Chief Accountant – F\&A | Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India
JSW MI Steel Service Center Private Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Finance & Accounts professional for its Ahmedabad location. This is a managerial position requiring 7 to 10 years of experience, ideally within the steel or a related industry.
The purpose of this role is to supervise all financial activities of the company and ensure optimal use of capital and resources. The incumbent will be responsible for creating forecasting models, assessing investment risks, and ensuring all accounting operations comply with regulations.
The role includes designing effective financial strategies and managing accounting teams to maintain the company’s financial health and boost profitability.
Key responsibilities include managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance. The candidate will provide financial insights to support key business decisions and oversee taxation matters, working with external tax advisors.
The role also involves cash flow management, treasury oversight, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards via coordination with external auditors. The position requires overseeing banking, borrowing, and various accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Receivable, Tax, Treasury, and both Financial and Management Accounting.
Additionally, the role includes participating in commercial decision-making through tender, margin, and pricing analysis, as well as implementing best practices to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Budget tracking, managing billing and collections, and enforcing accounting policies are also crucial. The candidate should maintain innovation in financial strategies and uphold a professional, empathetic attitude in all stakeholder interactions.
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (C.A)
Experience: 7 to 9 years
Preferred Background: Experience in the steel or a related industry.
